Why We Are Here
For some
individual soldiers, combat provides a kind of purpose and meaning beyond which
all else potentially pales in comparison. As
soldiers come back, they've been in combat… or the edge of it… and suddenly
that adjustment back to civilian life is a real challenge. How does a combat
veteran reintegrate into society? How do they work through the healing process
if they have been injured?
Who We Are
Team Ohio Racing, LTD (TOR) and non-profit pending Veterans Empowered Through Motorsports (VETM) are providers of unique experience for combat veterans. We place combat veterans into motorsports events that are team-oriented, purposeful and goal oriented with actual hands-on time. Motorsports by nature is a high energy and adrenaline-filled sport, and by engaging combat veterans we work with established skills and tools they acquired while deployed . TOR-VETM ensures our combat veterans are empowered and engaged; making them central components to our team operations and including as many care givers, peers and family members as possible.
